The Logo of Revival Seminars

1. Biblical Foundation

Our logo is based on the prophecy from the book of Isaiah 60:1–5:

  1. Arise, shine; for thy LIGHT is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

  2. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and HIS GLORY shall be seen upon thee.

  3. And the Gentiles shall come to thy LIGHT, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

  4. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.

  5. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

2. The Glory of the Lord = His Character

From the Spirit of Prophecy we know that the GLORY of the LORD is His CHARACTER:

  • “To give glory to God is to reveal His character in our own, and thus make Him known. And in whatever way we make known the Father or the Son, we glorify God.” (7 Bible Commentaries 979)

  • “The LAW spoken from Sinai is a transcript of God’s character.” (Review and Herald, Feb 4, 1890)

  • “The glory of Christ is revealed in the LAW, which is a transcript of His character…” (Amazing Grace, 80)

The New Testament promise is:

  • Hebrews 8:10“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people.”

The law also shows us what sin is and why Jesus had to die:

  • 1 John 3:4“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”

But the outward keeping of the law can’t save us—it must be written in our hearts:

  • Patriarchs and Prophets 70“The very fact that Christ bore the penalty of man’s transgression is a mighty argument to all created intelligences that the law is changeless; that God is righteous, merciful, and self-denying; and that infinite justice and mercy unite in the administration of His government.”

3. Symbols in the Logo

The Bible

  • Represents the unadulterated source of the plan of salvation.

  • Contains the message of the Cross, God’s Law written with His own finger, and the flame of the Holy Spirit, who gives us understanding of His Word.

The Moon

  • Represents us—the Bride of Christ—who will fully reflect His character.

  • This transformation occurs when we behold Him, our:

    • “Magnificent Obsession”

    • “Wonderful Counselor”

    • “Altogether Lovely”

    • “Desire of Ages”

    • “Beloved”

  • Revelation 12:1“Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the MOON under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.”

The Sabbath

  • A special point of controversy between Satan and Jesus, and the heart of the Ten Commandments.

  • Early Writings 32 describes the ark in heaven, containing the Ten Commandments, where the fourth commandment shone above them all. The Sabbath was surrounded by a halo of glory, showing it was not nailed to the cross.

  • God has never changed the Sabbath; it remains the seal of His authority.

The Two Ribbons (Water and Blood)

  • Flow from Jesus’ side at the crucifixion (John 19:34).

  • They represent:

    1. Justification – Christ’s death paid the penalty for sin (Romans 6:23).

    2. Sanctification – His power to keep us from falling and present us faultless (Jude 24–25).

4. The Central Message

The logo brings together:

  • The Bible,

  • The Cross,

  • God’s Law,

  • The Holy Spirit,

  • The Sabbath,

  • The Blood and Water of Jesus, and

  • The Bride of Christ.

It reveals the plan of salvation and God’s purpose to restore His character in His people, so that His glory will shine upon them and the nations will be drawn to His light.
