This is an open-end article, I am just starting to develop a precious element hidden in the very first picture-word of the Bible in Hebrew “Bereshit” [בראשית] in Paleo-Hebrew:

TavYodShin redAleph Hebrew resh greenBeth

Here are all seven words of Gen 1:1 in Paleo-Hebrew:

Gen 1.1 with Menorah

When you look at the red picture letters “Aleph-Shin” in the word Bereshit above – they represent FIRE. And what a big fire! [James 3:5-6] If you will start to study the meaning of it you will find deep inspiring truths about GOD. For the beginning we will “set the stages” by saying that this fire is either referring to GOD, as something holy, pure, concentrated energy, zeal for the cause, burning desire, but it can also refer to “unclean fire, selfish desires, self-destructive elements in each one of us. To illustrate let’s look into two verses describing two ends of this fire:

Deut 4:24 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire [H784], even a jealous God.

Ezekiel 28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire [H784] from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

What is worthy of our attention is also the fact that woman is called in Hebrew: “ISHA” [H802]

HeyShin redAleph

Beholding Heyan attractive woman awakens a fire in the heart of a man. But in this article I want to focus on the fire from Gen 1:1. As mentioned in the article about the Prodigal son, as seen in this verse, that fire can refer to a desire after the world and leaving the home of the Father. And on the other hand even stronger desire of our loving heavenly Father to save His lost child – which is each one of us. In this connection I love this verse:

Song of Solomon 8:6: Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

And what is the fire in this verse? You guess it right: the same one as in Bereshit:

Shin redAleph

Here is an inspiring insight I have found recently – you can read the whole article: “Draw from the Source of Strength” in it’s context, here is just a main thought:

Satan is seeking to veil Jesus from our sight, to eclipse His light, for when we get even a glimpse of His glory we are attracted to Him. Sin hides from our view the matchless charms of Jesus; prejudice, selfishness, self-righteousness, and passion blind our eyes, so that we do not discern the Saviour. Oh, if we would by faith draw nigh to God, He would reveal to us His glory, which is His character [see more in “From Glory to Glory” L36], and the praise of God would flow forth from human hearts, and be sounded by human voices. Then we would forever cease to give glory to Satan by sinning against God and talking doubt and unbelief. We would no longer stumble along grumbling, and mourning, and covering the altar of God with our tears. If we would behold Jesus, believing His words, we would reflect the image of Him who hath called us out of darkness into His marvelous light, and what a wave of glory would flow back from earth to heaven! {ST, October 17, 1892 par. 6}

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning ELOHYM dispatched Aleph-Tav

to the heavens and the earth.

from the heavens and to the earth.

between the heavens and the earth.

And what is the result?

If we would behold Jesus, believing His words, we would reflect the image of Him who hath called us out of darkness into His marvelous light, and what a wave of glory would flow back from earth to heaven!

What do we need in order to start to be on fire for our Saviour?

… when we get even a glimpse of His glory we are attracted to Him.

Did Moses see the glimpse of His glory? Oh, yes! He asked for it and GOD was pleased to grant his request:

False views of God, and hence of Christ, are largely entertained today. Well may we offer the prayer of Moses,“Show me Thy glory.” What did the Lord answer?–“I will make all My goodness pass before thee.” God might have answered Moses: “Why do you ask this question? Have I not revealed to you My glory in the deliverance of My people from Egyptian bondage? Did I not deliver you by the right arm of My power, and lead you dry shod through the midst of the Red Sea? Did I not reveal My glory in giving you bread from heaven? Did I not bring you water out of the flinty rock? Have you not looked upon My glory in the pillar of fire by night, and the cloud by day?”Moses might have answered that all this only kindled his desire for greater manifestations of God’s power. The Lord granted the prayer of Moses, and He desires to answer us in the same way. We need to have our perceptions quickened, our hearts enlarged, that we may comprehend His glory–His goodness, His forgiveness, His forbearance, His inexpressible love. {ST, October 17, 1892 par. 4}

To top it, look at this inspiration:

Daily we need the fresh revealing of His presence.

We need to follow more closely His example of self-renunciation and self-sacrifice.

{MH 457.2}

And why? For the simple law of entropy:

The Holy Spirit is given to all who will heed its voice; it is a purifier, a sanctifier. Not a soul is safe without it, for all are struggling with natural defects of character, with sinful tendencies. Who will be so foolish as to think they can struggle single-handed with enemies that have overmatched them again and again? The heart needs to be constantly softened and subdued by the Spirit of Christ. In contact with the world, or even with that which has to do with the advancement of God’s cause, the heart grows hard and selfish, unless constantly brought in contact with the heart of Infinite Love. The conscience grows callous and feeble when we neglect to receive the rays of the Sun of Righteousness. Those who flatter themselves that they can safely occupy their time in business, having no special seasons of prayer either in public or private, drawing no spiritual strength from the Source of all light and power, are under a delusion of the enemy. {ST, October 17, 1892 par. 8}

In contact with the world, or even with that which has to do with the advancement of God’s cause, the heart grows hard and selfish, unless constantly brought in contact with the heart of Infinite Love. We could say HOT HEART of Infinite Love of JESUS – YahShua.

Dictionary: Entropy

deterioration, degeneration, crumbling, decline, degradation, decomposition, breaking down, collapse; disorder, chaos, gradual decline into disorder

Law of entropy: Things are decaying and degrading to their basic elements unless kept together in organized form by external source of energy and order!

Once the pot is off the fire immediately it cools down – by the law of entropy – the coldness of surrounding air is cooling down the pot until their temperature is equal! (Lukewarm)

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of Godmoved upon [hovered over, brooded, heated up] the face of the waters.

As I wrote in the first article about Gen 1:1 – this verse sets the framework of Gospel and the rest of the Bible is only commentary or expanding on this this base. I have collected so much about Gen 1:2 – but that has to be another article … 😉

From Jeff Benner’s dictionary:

שא (eysh) Press/Fire Shin redAleph

Definition: A fire is made by firmly pressing a wooden rod down onto a wooden board and spinning the rod with a bow drill. Wood dust is generated from the two woods rubbing together and is heated by the friction creating a small ember in the dust. Small tinder is then placed on the ember and is blown ignited the tinder.
