Last Sabbath in our little church came a man, whose name is Chad. He shared very unusual story of his life, which is still in going. You might say, it is ongoing return to the cross of Jesus! He was in big trouble, came to Jesus, lost Him and came again, lost Him and came again. This time the biggest break through happened and he is for last 16 years following Jesus faithfully. Listen for yourself:
As I was listening to Chad, I thought, this is amazing story revealing that our Abba Father doesn’t want to give upon us and Chad was repeatedly saying: I always wanted to be what I was beholding and admiring: first a Rock Star, then a Hell’s Angel on Harley Davidson but now he wants to be like Jesus.
2 Cor 3 (MSG) 16-18 Whenever, though, they turn to face God as Moses did, God removes the veil and there they are—face-to-face! They suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal Presence, not a piece of chiseled stone. And when God is personally Present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We’re free of it! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of His face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like Him.
This verse presents the big well-known principle that by BEHOLDING we are changed. Gradually, perhaps imperceptibly for us, yet proportionally to our consistency we are elevated above the gross darkness this world is in and people feel more secure in our presence, we are a blessing for them. How come? Because Jesus now dwells in us and causes us to be less concerned about our selfish desires and makes us interested in well being of those around us.
Perhaps you feel like Chad used to feel. Failing, disappointing others, disappointed in himself. Back in prison of locked in strange sin-sick life with no hope. But if God was able to lift up Chad He can do it for you! If you would like to be part of those who decided to do something about that, please sign up to our Online Character Building Training:
