Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) 16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: 17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18  Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day.

66AD:

Not one Christian perished in the destruction of Jerusalem. Christ had given His disciples warning, and all who believed His words watched for the promised sign. “When ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies,” said Jesus, “then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out.” Luke 21:20, 21. After the Romans under Cestius had surrounded the city, they unexpectedly abandoned the siege when everything seemed favorable for an immediate attack. The besieged, despairing of successful resistance, were on the point of surrender, when the Roman general withdrew his forces without the least apparent reason. But God’s merciful providence was directing events for the good of His own people. The promised sign (Mat 24:15) had been given to the waiting Christians, and now an opportunity was offered for all who would, to obey the Saviour’s warning. Events were so overruled that neither Jews nor Romans should hinder the flight of the Christians. Upon the retreat of Cestius, the Jews, sallying from Jerusalem, pursued after his retiring army; and while both forces were thus fully engaged, the Christians had an opportunity to leave the city. At this time the country also had been cleared of enemies who might have endeavored to intercept them. At the time of the siege, the Jews were assembled at Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Tabernacles, and thus the Christians throughout the land were able to make their escape unmolested. Without delay they fled to a place of safety–the city of Pella, in the land of Perea, beyond Jordan.  {GC 30.2click if you wish to see full chapter}
The Jewish forces, pursuing after Cestius and his army, fell upon their rear with such fierceness as to threaten them with total destruction. It was with great difficulty that the Romans succeeded in making their retreat. The Jews escaped almost without loss, and with their spoils returned in triumph to Jerusalem. Yet this apparent success brought them only evil. It inspired them with that spirit of stubborn resistance to the Romans which speedily brought unutterable woe upon the doomed city.  {GC 31.1}

1888:

Please download the “National Sunday Law” written by Alonzo Jones. This pamphlet is a report of an argument made upon the national Sunday bill introduced by Senator Blair in the fiftieth Congress back in 1888. Thanks to the reasoning of this one man Senators of USA were able to reject the religious law by government and by another 120+ years postpone it’s return on their table. This time it won’t be rejected! This extra 120+ years was a loving grace period from GOD for His children and those who don’t know Him yet. Did we progress in our sanctification as a church or we got “evangelized”by the world? As my brother preacher Godfrey says – over the time “The waters got into the Ark!”

the lords day allianceOur Mission
The Lord’s Day Alliance of the United States exists to encourage Christians to reclaim the Sabbaththe Lord’s Day–as a day of spiritual and personal renewal, enabling them to impact their communities with the Gospel.

Our History
The Lord’s Day Alliance of the United States (LDA) was founded in 1888.
That year representatives of six major Protestant denominations met in Washington, D.C. to organize the American Sabbath Union; this name was later changed to The Lord’s Day Alliance of the United States. The LDA has been the one national organization whose sole purpose is to maintain and cultivate the first day of the week as a time for rest, worship, Christian education and spiritual renewal.

Siege #2:

Terrible were the calamities that fell upon Jerusalem when the siege was resumed by Titus. The city was invested at the time of the Passover, when millions of Jews were assembled within its walls. Their stores of provision, which if carefully preserved would have supplied the inhabitants for years, had previously been destroyed through the jealousy and revenge of the contending factions, and now all the horrors of starvation were experienced. A measure of wheat was sold for a talent. So fierce were the pangs of hunger that men would gnaw the leather of their belts and sandals and the covering of their shields. Great numbers of the people would steal out at night to gather wild plants growing outside the city walls, though many were seized and put to death with cruel torture, and often those who returned in safety were robbed of what they had gleaned at so great peril. The most inhuman tortures were inflicted by those in power, to force from the want-stricken people the last scanty supplies which they might have concealed. And these cruelties were not infrequently practiced by men who were themselves well fed, and who were merely desirous of laying up a store of provision for the future. {GC 31.2}
Thousands perished from famine and pestilence. Natural affection seemed to have been destroyed. Husbands robbed their wives, and wives their husbands. Children would be seen snatching the food from the mouths of their aged parents. The question of the prophet, “Can a woman forget her sucking child?” received the answer within the walls of that doomed city: “The hands of the pitiful women have sodden their own children: they were their meat in the destruction of the daughter of my people.” Isaiah 49:15; Lamentations 4:10. Again was fulfilled the warning prophecy given fourteen centuries before: “The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter, . . . and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.” Deuteronomy 28:56, 57.  {GC 32.1}
The Roman leaders endeavored to strike terror to the Jews and thus cause them to surrender. Those prisoners who resisted when taken, were scourged, tortured, and crucified before the wall of the city. Hundreds were daily put to death in this manner, and the dreadful work continued until, along the Valley of Jehoshaphat and at Calvary, crosses were erected in so great numbers that there was scarcely room to move among them. So terribly was visited that awful imprecation uttered before the judgment seat of Pilate: “His blood be on us, and on our children.” Matthew 27:25.  {GC 32.2}

66AD autumn Tabernacles + 3.5 years = 70AD spring Passover time when millions of people were in Jerusalem from all over the world…

1888 + 120 (3×40 years in wilderness because of unbelief of God’s people) = 2008 autumn when the world $ crisis went public + 3.5 = spring 2012

Is this end of the world? Not at all! Yet, can we afford another 40 years in this world?

Matt 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows…

Lk 19:38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. 39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. 40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these (unbelieving Christians) should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

mum and dad belong to us on sunday

Catholic and Protestant Churches appealed to EU Parliament to accept Sunday Laws. EU refused in 2009. Churches involved the Labor Unions for the same appeal. EU refused. Now the Churches and Labor Unions are pulling our love to our children into this controversy. The tenderest earthly ties that human hearts can know are used to get everyone involved!!! Parliaments in EU or USA won’t be able to resist this pressure…

Joel 3:14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

The time is fast coming when the controlling power of the Labor Unions will be very oppressive. Again and again the Lord has instructed that our people are to take their families away from the cities, into the country, where they can raise their own provisions; for in the future the problem of buying and selling (Rev 13:17 – economical pressure to keep the Sunday holy) will be a very serious one. We should now begin to heed the instruction given us over and over again: Get out of the cities into rural districts, where the houses are not crowded closely together, and where you will be free from the interference of enemies.–Letter 5, 1904.  {CL 9.5}

Christ’s cross has to bring us to our own cross:

And now the Lord of glory was dying, a ransom for the race. In yielding up His precious life, Christ was not upheld by triumphant joy. All was oppressive gloom. It was not the dread of death that weighed upon Him. It was not the pain and ignominy of the cross that caused His inexpressible agony. Christ was the prince of sufferers; but His suffering was from a sense of the malignity of sin, a knowledge that through familiarity with evil, man had become blinded to its enormity. Christ saw how deep is the hold of sin upon the human heart, how few would be willing to break from its power. He knew that without help from God, humanity must perish, and He saw multitudes perishing within reach of abundant help.  {DA 752.4}

What does it mean to “be willing to break from its power”? That’s your cross, my dear friend! You can’t behold Christ suffering for your sins and not to be willing to detach all your affections to anything what strives to be more important than JESUS! As Israel of old had to bring their lamb, something dear to them, something that cost them something. GOD provided His LAMB, what are we sacrificing? Do we renounce all known sin or we do presumptuously ‘believe’ in JESUS and live in open or secret sins?

Satan told Him that if He became the surety for a sinful world, the separation would be eternal. He would be identified with Satan’s kingdom, and would nevermore be one with God.  {DA 686.5}
And what was to be gained by this sacrifice? How hopeless appeared the guilt and ingratitude of men! In its hardest features Satan pressed the situation upon the Redeemer: The people [Seventh-day Adventists just like Israel of old] who claim to be above all others in temporal and spiritual advantages have rejected You. They are seeking to destroy You, the foundation, the center and seal of the promises made to them as a peculiar people. One of Your own disciples, who has listened to Your instruction, and has been among the foremost in church activities, will betray You. One of Your most zealous followers will deny You. All will forsake You. Christ’s whole being abhorred the thought. That those whom He had undertaken to save, those whom He loved so much, should unite in the plots of Satan, this pierced His soul. The conflict was terrible. Its measure was the guilt of His nation, of His accusers and betrayer, the guilt of a world lying in wickedness. The sins of men weighed heavily upon Christ, and the sense of God’s wrath against sin was crushing out His life. {DA 687.1}

Gen 6:6 And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart.

I believe the cross is the ultimate revelation how does GOD, JESUS and HOLY SPIRIT feel throughout all these 6000 years!

Israel of old had to bring their sacrifice to the altar of sacrifice. This was not to appease GOD and they were not saved because of THEIR sacrifices – it rather represented JESUS’ SACRIFICE, but more than that! What’s missing?!
It was an expression of detachment of affections from what was too dear to them and became more important than GOD! If we don’t do this part then the cross is vanity, lost it’s purpose! We need to be those “few who are more than willing to break from the power of sin” – HOW?? By crucifying our desires:
a) from what what is declared by GOD as sinful
b) from what is not sinful in itself but we are affectionately attached to more than to GOD: example: Adam to Eve, Abraham to Isaac.

… “And pleasures of this life.” There is danger in amusement that is sought merely for self-gratification. All habits of indulgence
– that weaken the physical powers,
– that becloud the mind, or
– that benumb the spiritual perceptions,
are “fleshly lusts, which war against the soul.” 1 Peter 2:11. {CSA 22.2}
“And the lusts of other things.” These are not necessarily things sinful in themselves, but something that is made FIRST [Eve, Isaac, laptop, wife, children…] instead of the kingdom of God. Whatever attracts the mind from God, whatever draws the affections away from Christ, is an enemy to the soul. {CSA 22.3}

When all heaven was silent and in tension was watching the struggle in the heart of Adam when Eve became MEDIUM of Satan now tempting him – GOD knew how terrible this is: because if Adam will not be able to detach his affections from Eve – GOD FATHER will have to detach HIS AFFECTIONS TO HIS SON JESUS – on the cross. When those behind the scene appeal: “Mum and Dad belong to us on Sunday” – they misuse our innocent affections to our dear ones in order to keep man-made laws. We all will have to decide whether our children are more important to us than JESUS – GOD is calling each one of us as Abraham:

Gen 22:2 And He said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah (same place where some centuries later GOD would sacrifice His own Son JESUS CHRIST – YaHUSHUA HaMaSHYaH
yahushua hamashyah); and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

The serpent plucked the fruit of the forbidden tree and placed it in the hands of the half-reluctant Eve. Then he reminded her of her own words, that God had forbidden them to touch it, lest they die. She would receive no more harm from eating the fruit, he declared, than from touching it. Perceiving no evil results from what she had done, Eve grew bolder. When she “saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat.” It was grateful to the taste, and as she ate, she seemed to feel a vivifying power, and imagined herself entering upon a higher state of existence. Without a fear she plucked and ate. And now, having herself transgressed, she became the agent of Satan in working the ruin of her husband. In a state of strange, unnatural excitement, with her hands filled with the forbidden fruit, she sought his presence, and related all that had occurred.  {PP 55.3}
An expression of sadness came over the face of Adam. He appeared astonished and alarmed. To the words of Eve he replied that this must be the foe against whom they had been warned; and by the divine sentence she must die. In answer she urged him to eat, repeating the words of the serpent, that they should not surely die. She reasoned that this must be true, for she felt no evidence of God’s displeasure, but on the contrary realized a delicious, exhilarating influence, thrilling every faculty with new life, such, she imagined, as inspired the heavenly messengers.  {PP 56.1}
Adam understood that his companion had transgressed the command of God, disregarded the only prohibition laid upon them as a test of their fidelity and love. There was a terrible struggle in his mind. He mourned that he had permitted Eve to wander from his side. But now the deed was done; he must be separated from her whose society had been his joy. How could he have it thus? Adam had enjoyed the companionship of God and of holy angels. He had looked upon the glory of the Creator. He understood the high destiny opened to the human race should they remain faithful to God. Yet all these blessings were lost sight of in the fear of losing that one gift which in his eyes outvalued every other. Love, gratitude, loyalty to the Creator–all were overborne by love to Eve. She was a part of himself, and he could not endure the thought of separation. He did not realize that the same Infinite Power who had from the dust of the earth created him, a living, beautiful form, and had in love given him a companion, could supply her place. He resolved to share her fate; if she must die, he would die with her. After all, he reasoned, might not the words of the wise serpent be true? Eve was before him, as beautiful and apparently as innocent as before this act of disobedience. She expressed greater love for him than before. No sign of death appeared in her, and he decided to brave the consequences. He seized the fruit and quickly ate.  {PP 56.2}
After his transgression Adam at first imagined himself entering upon a higher state of existence. But soon the thought of his sin filled him with terror. The air, which had hitherto been of a mild and uniform temperature, seemed to chill the guilty pair. The love and peace which had been theirs was gone, and in its place they felt a sense of sin, a dread of the future, a nakedness of soul. The robe of light which had enshrouded them, now disappeared, and to supply its place they endeavored to fashion for themselves a covering; for they could not, while unclothed, meet the eye of God and holy angels.  {PP 57.1}

He resolved to share her fate; if she must die, he would die with her. Did he?

Gen 3:11 And He said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? 12 And the man said, The woman whom Thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

He was not willing to die for his beloved wife. When the crisis hits we all will need to decide whether we will love GOD and His Commandments more than our families and then our true characters will “pop-up” on surface. Crisis don’t change but reveal the character!
